Pedro Pedrobuena (sp?) runs College Billiards in San Diego and is a former US 3-C champion so he'd be a great pick. It may be a good idea to get a quality player to try one out and give suggestions before full production. People love diamond tables, but seem to think the angles off the rails are very different than Brunswicks. whiny) about tables that play short or don't match their diamond systems. The only concern about a Diamond billiard table I have is billiard players are very sensitive (i.e. Currently he is renting a Brunswick carom table that has issues but still gets played at least 5 hours a day. He already has a couple Diamond bar tables. The local hall has a new owner who likes billiards (3-C AND straight rail) and would love to be one of the trial rooms or even find a way to finance a table. If the ten footer gets made, somebody please PM me if they can remember or this thread pops up again. The Diamond 9ft ProAm pocket table is the most PERFECT commercial table out here today, so why not make it the most PERFECT 9ft/8ft Carom table as wellĪfter all, how many of you carom players have played on a 9ft Gabriel's billiards table? So, from a business sense, it makes all the sense in the world to go after a market that NO ONE else even cares about, let alone is trying to do something about! We're NOT talking about 3 cushion billiards here guys, we're talking about helping to straighten out an industry that has been so over looked and pissed on for a very long time.I don't even know how these guys play on some of these tables they have I swear!!! The problem with this industry is that no one, and I mean NO ONE has ever built a quality 9ft billiards table worth a damn! Ever been in an Asian billiards room.and seen the rails burnt all to hell from all the cigarettes laid on the rails? Diamond wood rails on the Carom 9ft ProAm tables would never show the burns.and from that stand point alone it makes sense!!! Then, look at the slates, most of them have the seams showing through the cloth, can't happen with a one piece slate!!! I mean think about it, how many room owners are willing to trade in their Gabriel's vs how many room owners are there with JUNK 9ft carom tables? Players that play 3 cushion on a 10 table are not the same players that play straight rail billiards on a 9ft, even an 8ft.yes, I said 8fts as well. Replacing these kind of tables with a 9ft ProAm Carom table with a one piece slate that can be rolled in, setup in less than the time it takes to take one of the JUNK tables apart, would give Diamond a totally untapped market to go after. The Predator APEX 9 ft.I have seen rooms full of junk 9ft billiard tables, and I mean JUNK! From the stand point of 8 & 9ft carom tables, these kind of players mostly play straight rail billiards & 4 ball billiards.
